There does not seem to be a general NYC weather thread that exists yet, so I guess it will begin with this.
On an annual basis, NYC gets plenty of variation in weather and has such a distinctive 4 season weather climate with pretty good weather variation.
I actually am a fan of NYC weather.
I just wish the winters were 3 to 4 months shorter such as a 1 to 2 month long winter(December to January) instead of a 5 month long winter (November to March/Early April).
Sunshine and precipitation is pretty good but I would like a bit more sunshine and precipitation. And I would like sunshine and precipitation distributed a bit differently.
Well...OK. But prepare yourself for some complaining. Not everyone is a fan of our local weather. (I, personally, don't have any problems. But that might be because I'm a native born New Yorker, so this is what I'm used to).
Besides, as Mark Twain wrote, "Everybody complains about the weather, but nobody does anything about it."
I hate our weather with a passion. Of course over the weekend was terrible out Sunday with rain all day long, Monday startted to be crappy then got a bit better, but now it is Tuesday and i am at work and there is not a cloud in the sky and the humidity is gone.

So true. It seems whenever I am stuck in this office, the weather is nice and when I'm off, it's either raining or unbearably humid. NYC weather is the pits. It goes right from cold to sticky humidity and heat with very few nice, in between days.

Yeah. I already know there will be some complainers. That is ok because different people have different specific weather preferences and it is justified to have plenty of different types of opinions for the weather here. But there are still plenty of people that are fans of NYC weather or don't have any problems with it.
Even though I have some problems with the pretty long winters when it lasts longer than 1 to 2 months(NYC winters typically last 5 months), there are enough times I like NYC weather to say I am still a fan of it.

I understand when someone does not like clouds and rain when it feels like it was cloudy/rainy for too long, but not when the rainy cloudy days don't last for that long.
I don't understand it when people never like clouds and rain.
I liked the recent cloudy rainy Sunday. It came right after a sunny Saturday which I also liked. And right after that Sunday was a sunny Monday, followed be a sunnyTuesday(today), and a sunny Wednesday tomorrow. I enjoyed all 5 of these recent weather days.
NYC weather is pretty good for me.
I wouldn't say I always love NYC weather with a passion, but sometimes I do and plenty of times the weather here is pretty good.
The only times where I usually consistently dislike the weather is February to March but that is pretty much it.
