Concentrate on your education. Friends of the same thought process will reconnect down the line.
All the studious meet up later in life and exchange their successes while all the party people meet up
later in life and exchange weed, beer s and woes.

If you're social though you'll probably find something to do no matter where you go. But at none of these schools will you make friends unless you actively try to. It's basically like high school except with more freedom

The early bird always catches the worm.
For the average person who is struggling on his/her own, concentrate on your studies and leave the parties to the losers.
There may be times in life you may get stuck going down with the ship but this isn't one of them. Steer clear .
Many of these losers have nothing to...well...lose! Making friends is fine. Get out once in a while and socialize. Be kind to everyone you meet as they may one day be working alongside you above you as your boss. Don't sacrifice your study time for getting drunk or high as the primary reason why you are in school. Stay focused. This is your one chance in life to get a crack at making it big. Don't blow it.

Please rethink your question.
The object of a college education is to create the building blocks to your future unless
the primary focus is geared towards alcoholism or drug treatment................

At CUNY you meet people in classrooms, in cafeterias, a few clubs, limited sports, and in the library or sitting around the campus waiting in between classes.

Baruch has a nice location for grabbing quick eats that are nearby for a change of scenery.

CC has nothing for food or hangouts nearby it's nothing more than bodegas and struggling restaurants.

BMCC is located in a great spot for grabbing cheap bites to eat or coffee with some people.

Guttman is one of my favorite spots in the city but I had never taken classes there.

Hunter has a few spots but it's sorta pricey in that area especially for students.
