I've already seen "The Warriors", "Death Wish" and "80 Blocks From Tiffany's" (all great BTW), but would like some more suggestions to add to my Netflix queue!

Rumble in the bronx, because it was not filmed in the bronx. Clockers. Hackers, kids, the departed supposed to be solely filmed in boston but was also filmed in throgs neck. Sleepers. empire it showed mott haven at its worse, fort apache the bronx when the south bronx was at its worse. The worst by far imho is escape from new york where manhattan is turned into a giant prison in a altetnatr post apocalyptic dyostopian future.

easily Sex and City, I don't understand how anyone could look at SJP on a movie screen for over an hour (its quite painful from what I understand).

Mixed Blood (1984) shot on location in LES. Looks like Dresden after WW2.

Bad Lieutenant (1992) starring Harvey Keitel. One of my favorites.

Escape from New York. Someone said Fort Apache, which is a must. You might want to check some of Spike Lee's movies also...they are not technically "real" footage of NYC, but gives a reasonably accurate/satirical impression of life in the 80s and 90s in NYC for a good segment of the population.

I wish the out of towners would stop watching those movies. They are 30+ years old.
