I will be coming into LaGuardia tonight around 10:15 pm and making my way to Brooklyn Heights. After reading previous threads and researching the public transit options, it appears I can either take:
- M60 to 125 St and then the 4 to Borough Hall
or
- Q33 to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave and then the F to Jay St-MetroTech.
Google mapping it seems to yield about the same travel time, so I was wondering if there's anything I should take into consideration (service changes? safety? traffic?) when picking one option over the other. Should I just take the first bus that comes? (Do the M60 and Q33 depart from the same bus stop, btw?)
FWIW, I've been to NYC many times, just never done this particular trip, and I live in Chicago so I'm very familiar with public transportation and generally feel comfortable in most city neighborhoods. I'll also be traveling with just a carry-on roll-aboard. Also, obviously, I'm more money-sensitive than time-sensitive -- I'd just take a cab, otherwise.

Thanks all!
Both buses are pretty solid. They do arrive and depart from the same stop (in most cases). Just pick your choice.
I would take the M60 to the Downtown 4 or 5 @ 125.....Taking the F is going to be slow as all hell....the 4/5 is going to be much faster express...plus the M60 is pretty fast to 125/LEX

Hey guys, thanks for the answers. I ended up taking the M60 as it happened to pull up right as I got to the curb. Unfortunately, it ended up being slightly more time-consuming than I would've hoped (about 2.5 hours) because the M60 got stuck in horrendous traffic on the RFK bridge - they were doing lane closures on the Manhattan-bound lanes, so it literally take about 45 minutes to cross from Queens to Manhattan. The 4 train was fast, but it also took ages to come -- I swear I saw five or six 6 trains pass before the 4 finally arrived.
Still, when I think that I made this trip for $2.25, I can't be all that upset. I do kind of wish I'd taken the Q33 though, since the RFK bridge, while pretty, didn't really warrant a 45-minute visit.
Guys I have a question..Say for example i was going to use SPIRIT Airlines or JETBLUE. As far as the Q33 bus is concerned, how will I know which stop or terminal to get off at to connect to any airline that I needed to a use?
Thanks!
