If you really like hurricanes up close and personal, you want to hang around Cape Hatteras in North Carolina. Of course, there's a downside to that strategy.

Actually it would be Miami, which has the highest hurricane risk in the US.

What I also love is when you're expecting a really bad storm and you're actually waiting for it. Then, the skies darken, the clouds move in, the leaves on the trees start to turn inside-out, the wind kicks up and BOOM..... pouring rain, wind, lightning, thunder! Yeah!

Northern California is a curse, spring and summer 95 degrees and sunny. Winter 40 w/ pea soup fog and you never even see a flake of snow! Is it too much to ask for a blustery Halloween or a white Christmas?... Yes it is, NY you are fortunate

I thought I was the only one. My friends and family think I'm weird for having a fascination with extreme weather. Especially storms. I was so looking forward to Irene hitting us full blast with 100+mph winds!

I was too! I don't "get" people who like the hot, humid summer weather with the stagnant air just hanging there and any speck of dirt or dust gets stuck to you. I'd rather see hurricanes, crazy thunder/lightning storms, blizzards, hail, etc... I love weather!!!

Default We need this...

It reminds us of mother nature's power. And allows us to appreciate the sun and
clear skies for those that dislike it. You can chill at home and catch up on stuff like DVD's not watched, Music not listened to. And phone calls not made.

Or go for a walk and take in the solitude of quiet neighborhoods and short lines at the stores. Grab a sixer while your there!

Me eighteen.

I love howling winds and turbulent weather! Being in a hurricane is being alive with nature...unless it kills you.

I'll take #19 Kefir King. I'm an extreme weather nut as well. I love a great thunderstorm with a lot of lightening!

But once your parents grows older or your grandparents still alive, it's
not good news for them during the rainy days with arthritis. Plus now
you have to work and worry about your home and taking care of people.
Any bad weather sucks now, there is enough everyday stuff in live to
worry about already.
I concur. Took the words right out of my mouth.
