HPD mailing today showed a new property at 131st and Madison (East Harlem?) that includes 34 affordable units.
Applications being accepted through Oct. 27.

I tried the Google maps but mine showed only a vacant lot (I have the free version only.)

Here's the HPD webpage on the property for those interested:

Of course, the first two questions one needs to ask are:

1. What's "affordable?"

2. Are you sure you want to live at Madison and 131st?

I used to work in that area. Not very desirable. I could get high as a kite (contact high) just walking from the subway to my office. Nothing like getting to work at 8:30am with a bad case of the munchies!

1. It's spelled out on the web page (1 BR: $638 or $782...2 BR: $770 or $943)

2. No, but somebody might want a new building at a good price.
