Total of 16 new tennis courts, 12 of which are indoor/temperature controlled along the waterfront and adjacent to a new park.

Clubhouse with lounge areas, pro-shop, cafe, showers, lockers, restrooms, etc.

Tournaments, youth programs, seasoned professionals.

If you haven't checked this out, it's worth a visit if you are a tennis fan. Right off the B/D/4 lines at 161st st, or 2/4/5 at 149th and Grand Concourse.

YOI...$45-80 an hour.
I DO hope that not too much taxpayer money was sunk into this VERY expensive playground.

Can anyone here afford prices like that?

I'm sure it's another publicly funded for private profit project, like the new Yankee Stadium itself.

Not only do we pay to build these things but the developers usually keep all the profits and pay little or no property taxes for 20 or 25 years.

Yes, the prices are too high for an area with a median income of $13,600-25,200.

It's clearly not for the community.

I want to check out this place in October. It's literally right across the bridge from where I am as well. I don't think the prices are to outrageous, and it is definitely much better than schlepping to Queens. Thank you for posting the link!
