Read an article in the paper here and wanted to share it with everyone since 9/11 10th anniversary is right around the corner.

http://www.areaofdesign.com/american...r/IheartNY.jpg

Everyone knows about Milton Glaser, founder of New York Mag and the founder of the most copied logo in the world, I LOVE NEW YORK.

They say the logo generates more than $30M in revenues each year but he never touched a single penny from that, saying he did it to help the image of his city at times when it was needed the most. The logo made a big return after Sept 2011. He says the morning after 9/11 the original logo wasn't good enough, hence why he made this new one.I LOVE NEW YORK more than ever. With a little black spot symbolizing ground zero.

I like it

I rep'ed you for your OP. Thanks for sharing. As for the negative posters on here, take it with a grain of salt. I think it's a sign of the times. Nobody seems very happy anymore, at least on C-D.

It is nice of them to reinvent the logo, and give due credit to the one who invented it, since many do not know. Of course the only people I see wearing those shirts are midwestern tourists, but it's still something representative of the city.

Yeah I never see people that actually live in NYC wear shirts like that. It should tell you that they're pretty miserable here.

Indeed, our discretion to not buy this t-shirt from a street vendor clearly indicates how miserable we are...

Thanks for the nice replies folks, I love NYC with all my heart. The culture, the history... I am a BIG fan of the Culture from the 80s-90s. The music, the nightlife, the fashion, the people, everything.

I am very fascinated by it. It's definitely important for people in NYC at least to know where the logo that represents your city comes from.

the guy who designed the fed ex logo with the nifty arrow hidden in it hardly saw any money either.
