Apparently a woman has attacked 2 other women on the subways in the Bronx. Scary. Hopefully the NYPD apprehends her before there is another victim.
Stay alert everyone as this could graduate to male victims as well.

Exactly. It's so bizarre. I read the article and really wondered what could provoke the attack. Completely random?

Anger, Maybe getting back at women for a real or perceived injustice. Or just unhinged and violent. Either way it's a further argument for why it's so important to be aware of one's surroundings, even in the day. These attacks have no visible motive and are unprovoked, and that makes it all the more sinister.

It could get even worse--if there's one thing we definitely don't need, it's a bunch of copycat crimes.

What does that mean- "stay safe"?
How can you avoid a random attack?

There is almost no defense.
You'll never see it coming. Almost nothing you can do.

Almost.
