Thanks in advance!
I am still astonished by some of the information that people give on this forum. Like CIDA posted above "TAKE A CAB". The last thing you want to do at 5 oclock in the morning is to be draging luggage into the NYC subway system. Ask the bus driver if he/she can direct you to the eight avenue entrance so you can catch a cab. You can also pick up a house phone at the Bus Terminal and dial 55. That will connect you with the Red Cap service. Ask them for assistance with your bags to the cab stand. The cab ride won't be expensive and you'll be better off. If you can get the 7 oclock bus you'll also be better off. Either way take a cab, DO NOT WALK! Once at Penn Station you may be able to check in your baggage with Amtrak. There are no longer lockers available for storage. People like to blow them up, "GO FIGURE!" Good luck to you.

^^ why pay $5 dollars and a tip, when you can very well pay $2 and get to Penn Station in about 2 minuets if that? There are elavators and ramps in which a person can bring their baggage into the subway system. The same thing for Penn Station.

You have at least 3 hours to check out a bit of New York. Times Sq. is one block away. Check it!

#1 5 a.m.
#2 First time in New York.
#3 The creatins that hang out in the area can pick up on that in a New York minute.
#4 Don't know where she's going, (see #2 above)
#5 It's easy to get lost in the Bus terminal. Wind up in the old taxi or new taxi roadway at 5 a.m. and you may have problems.
#6 Ever try to bring 2 pieces of rolling luggage into the subway system by yourself.
#7 There are elevators and escalators in the bus terminal. Ever wind up in the brown stairway by accident?
#8 This person is traveling from China. You think another $5.00 is going to make a big difference.
#9 What would you tell a close relative to do? One that's never been here.
