monday - thursday night, but before they close (I think 7pm). do not go on the weekend unless you're willing to kill the whole day for a pastry...

I went there last year.
Happened to be in New Jersey and my nephew wanted to stop there.
Went around 6:30
No wait, no lines

The night we were there, Buddy and Mauro happened to stop by and were talking to all the customers.

Just be prepared to spend.
The prices are not cheap
