Hi, I own and operate a new popcorn company in NYC. Moderator cut: No advertising on the forum
To get exposure, I want to sell in Manhattan at places like Union Square etc.
Now I tried to research what permits I would need, and it is saying since my food is pre packaged at my warehouse I wouldn't need a health license or a permit.
I would just have to pay sales tax, which I have applied for etc and have a sales tax i.d through NYC.
I tried to contact the correct departments and they were no help.
So in closing, my popcorn is pre packages and sealed, and I would love to sell close to Union Square to get my brand noticed in Manhattan.
I see random tables selling beeds and so forth, so just wondering what I will need besides my sales tax i.d

Reason: You cannot advertise your venture on the forum, per Terms of Service.
You probably still need a vendor permit, regardless of the Health Department requirements. You might not need a food permit but you probably still need a vendor permit/license. And probably insurance as well.
