If I had to choose between this location and the other one you asked about in the other thread( Briggs and Kingsbridge),I would definitely take the Briggs Ave location.Wouldn't even have to think about it.

I think the Weeks location is known as Mount Hope.

If it's north of Cross Bronx Expwy it's Tremont if south it's Mount Eden. Crappy area.

Mount Hope is a subsection of Tremont, and the southern boundary for Tremont is Cross Bronx. If south of Cross Bronx then it's Mount Eden.

Terrible neighborhoods. Statistically the dense neighborhoods on both sides of the Cross Bronx Expressway along the Grand Concourse have among the highest total violent crime incidents per square mile in the city (likely nationally as well). Upper 44, 46, lower 52. Only for single urban pioneers who value a walkable subway distance.

To the OP: I can see a pattern in the types of areas you're looking at: They offer a low rent, but all of the areas you are looking at are considered dangerous to one degree or another. So I suggest you look in the Mariners' Harbor area (which is much less dangerous than these sections of The Bronx you're looking at), which was where you were originally looking at.

The rent might be comparable because the commute is long (you either have to take an express bus to Manhattan or drag yourself all the way to St. George for the ferry), so it comes down to whether you want to trade safety for a better commute.
