Surprising news, because I believe the rates are holding steady or going up just about everywhere else.

I think part of the reason may be that New Yorkers tend to do a lot more walking than people in other cities. It's amazing the very short distances people drive outside the city.

Pomegranite juice which is really good for you is like 5 dollars a bottle, while Fanta soda is like 79 cents a bottle.

The pomegranate juice they sell isn't nearly as amazing for you as they would lead you to believe.

Not sure is gym is required for all kids in other states but I had to take gym throughout my whole public school education, which might also contribute.

Water is for FREE!! I as a mother cannot believe parents give their kids soda? My kids hate the stuff as I always given them water and very little juice. I spend $0 on their drinks
