Hello all... we are here on a househunting trip. Fortunately have *finally* found a place. Had to extend our stay to find it and will now be spending our two year old's birthday in NYC area. I had a small party planned for her at home, had to cancel it... :/
Any ideas on something we could do in Manhattan that would be special? I was thinking maybe something related to the Nutcracker? She's too young for a whole performance and probably too late for tx anyway. But maybe something geared to toddlers?
Indoors would be best as it's going to be on the chilly side on her birthday, although not as cold as today, hopefully. Needs to be something we could do in the morning or late afternoon/early evening, she does an afternoon nap.
Thanks... totally forgot about Macy's, their holiday stuff is legendary, and apparently they've got a cute little puppet show now too. We're going to give that a try.
Macy's is a good suggestion. Also, I know it's outdoors, but the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and ice skating rink is always a sight to see. I was there just a few days ago playing tourist and it is beautiful.
There is a Build A Bear on 5th Avenue in the 40s. That might be fun. I think they can accomodate little parties.
You can always do the party after you are home as well. I never understood this having to celebrate on the actual day (or at all) but then again my family was never really a celebrate your birthday kind of family.
It is the best venue to plan birthday ideas in NYC events.for those who are wondering how it works ,it's free service for NYC birthday party events.also organizes NYC bachelors
party.
This post is from last December. But perhaps a visit to the Museum of Natural History which I know toddlers enjoy as well as adults and older children.
