New York FINALLY got the new Version DVR software called Version 1.9. It is dramatically different but all better and will require a bit of a learning curve.
Most of the rest of the country has had it for as long as a year and we are among the last to get it. Perhaps they were fixing bugs so the wait might be for the best.
So when you turn on your TV today don't be surprised that you have to make a couple simple selections.

Since it only popped up this morning (1/12) I don't yet know all the in's and out's. Auxiliary set-top boxes are supposed to work a LOT better, perhpas even allow adding and removing programs from the DVR via the remote dummy STB. If you have a ton of epiosodes of a single show, you can now choose DELETE ALL instead of eliminating them one by one.

I look forward to playing around with it but I woke up with a splitting headache so it won't be early today.

Just noticed it last night. The Guide is a bit hard to read from a distance. I haven't checked out anything else yet. Is there more room on the DVR?

Same here, it's hard to read but i'll get used to it. I wonder if it'll let us record more than 2 shows simutaneously?

It's rather frustrating having to delete 38 programs. One. By. One.

I did notice that the guide was different. I don't think it's harder to read. On my TV it looked really big (which means no more squinting for me) but it really doesn't show much at one time. You see what's playing at that current time. It's not stretched out where you can see at least 3 time slots.
