Ill just say this, QUeens is in my opinion, the only place where you will find a balance of everything. Nothing too extreme in any end of the spectrum.
QUeens center mall and the area along QUeens boulevard is the greatest representation of New York City, minus the elite rich white liberal nonsense or the super full blown ghetto project bs mentality.
Queens is the best. No vast swaths of hardcore ghettos (Bx/Bk), nor crawling with smug yuppies (The City), or ridiculous working class bigots/Jersey Shore types (SI).
I like Manhattan though. I never find it to be too crowded or overwhelming in my opinion

Do you think the setting of ALL IN THE FAMILY was accidental...that an Archie Bunker type is not VERY Queens?
"Working class bigots" (as YOU call them) are VERY much in evidence in Queens, probably far more so than almost ANYWHERE in New Jersey.
Tell me the truth, can you imagine anywhere MORE than Queens where you could more easily assemble an alternate cast of JERSEY SHORE? Be honest. I think any bar in Queens is more likely to provide that cast than anywhere in NJ.

Correct! Haha, Queens is probably 2nd after Staten Island in terms of spiky haired meathead types that somehow get associated with NJ.
