That section of store fronts burned a few years back. 10 years ago it was a bar but not called Emerald Isle. It was more of a biker place. At the time of the fire it was being renovated into a Latin themed bar/club.

Seems like you're just going to have to visit every Irish bar in NYC, until you find the correct one. Or, a good replacement!

I went to EXPO (Montreal) long long ago and had the best time I ever had in a straight bar and when I went back years later determined to find it I thought I was on to someting because I remembered the name. It was called "BIER E VIN."

Then somebody clued me in that they are ALL called BIER E VIN because that means BEER AND WINE.
So the place can only exist in my memory. (But what a WONDERFUL night with incredible people.)
