Crime? Some of the highest in Queens.

High Schools? What high schools? they are all close [or closing] down.

Diversity? Mostly black with a growing white population.

Price? Probably one of the cheapest areas in Queens, but cheap for a good reason.

I agree with the DoomDan estimate but wouldn't count too much on the "growing white population."

There is a growing Jewish population slowly spilling over from Nassau but I know Far Rock will be mostly black for a very long time.

The growing white population are part of the NY - Long Island "Triangle of Death" Shirley, Mastic and Far Rock. They move a lot around the three.

PS the whites to whom I refer are decidedly not Jewish. There may be Jews there, but I've never heard about them.

Regardless of race, the type of people is to me, more important. There are a lot of people on public assistance there. I do not resent people who need help, but it makes the pace a little depressing.
