Anyone know what the deal is on that half built CVS on the corner of Merrick Blvd and Hook Creek Blvd in Rosedale?

245-02 Merrick Blvd, Rosedale Queens, NY ... The developer is a well known retail developer but this one has been sitting dormant for 3 years

You are correct. It was purchased by a developer who has built many Drug Stores and Banks Branches a few years back. The bowling alley was raised and replaced by a partially built CVS Pharmacy. Construction stopped a couple years ago Rosedale Queens, CVS-067-2-.jpg

DOB put several Stop Work Orders on the property, for various reasons.

You can see them here:

still doesn't explain why the site has remained a stalled construction site for the past 3 years or so. Maybe CVS backed out of the lease.

There are Stop Work Orders on the property.
The contractor/developer cannot resume work unless the problems on site are corrected.

The reason why the architect/developer/contractor are not correcting the Stop Work Orders are an entirely different issue.

Ah, the old Rosedale Lanes site. Used to go there on school trips. I didn't know it had been torn down. Fond memories :-)
