True. It wouldn't sound right in that vid if she said HI, I am from Maryland, but I currently live in BK, NY. It would make it seem like she lives in BK only temporarily when she's been living there for 6 yrs. Plus the whole theme is beekeeping in the urban BK environment, which makes it unusual and interesting.

I can see where if you are beekeeping in brooklyn, the fact that you are doing it in brooklyn is relevant. I mean this whole locavore food thing is about local food, I guess.

and Im glad folks are proud to be from Brooklyn. Sure beats folks being ashamed to be from Brooklyn.

So it's cool to be ashamed that you're from Maryland, as long as you claim you're from Brooklyn?

If she was so ashamed, it wouldnt bother me. But since she says that her hometown is in maryland, Im guessing shes not ashamed of it.

But she didn't "say" it. She typed it somewhere on her website. She's not consistent in her honesty.

Oh? what other site is that? Some site about beekeeping? Or organic food?

Usually one goes into more detail in a written (oh, I mean "typed") bio than when introducing oneself in a video. different media, different style. Does it make me hipster to know that?

Nah, the second or third post in this thread answers your question.

The only thing any of this makes you is overly sensitive to any critique of our darling little Meghan and her bees.

Nah, I just dislike ignorance about the English language. And any kind of obsessive hatred that would create a site called "dieXdie" where X is any particular group of human beings, unless its war criminals - even then its probably not a healthy approach.
