You'll be fine on that salary but budget more for rent. You won't find anything in that range in Manhattan unless it's a slum or way up in Inwood which might as well be the Bronx.

Fordham , university heights , Mosholu (Bedford park /Norwood ) , longwood , parkchester . Belmont . Most of the Bronx looks very similar to each other and u could only tell them apart if you lived in the boro your whole life . Parkchester was the most different tho but not much better . Most of the Bronx is poverty and looks like it , parts that aren’t is most likely very isolated and very far ( like riverdale etc )
I lived on Holland Avenue for a while and loved it.
