I know seventh floor can definitely tell me all about this.

I saw a thread already posted about The Sand Castle but there was only one reply to OP's question. I myself am considering renting at either the sandcaslte or wavecrest in far rockaway. Can someone pls tell me about the sand castle on 711 seagirt ave. I found 14 reviews online and they were basically all negative. Everyone said to avoid this place but am I right to rely on that? I've visited both places.

The sand castle use to rent only to senior citizens but owners changed and they rent to everyone now. The apartment I saw was a ok. It was nice enough, wooden floors big windows closets big bathroom etc. It didn't overlook the water. The rent is 950 with gas n electric included. Parking is $80 a month. How does this sound to you guys? I work in hempstead so I'll have a 30 min drive to work every morning.

The reviews keep mentioning bed bug infestations, lousy rude management and substance abusers loitering around the complex. I did notice a few rough around the edges individuals outside but nothing that shocked me, just made me a bit curious and suspicious. The reviews also complained that there were stabbing incidents in the building and people sell drugs out of their apartments. Guys I don't know. Reading all of that creeped me the hell out. When I visited I just saw alot of old ass people in the building and it seemed mild and quiet. Please tell me whatever you know about this complex because I'm seriously considering taking the apt. I also like Wavecrest. Any current info on them is appreciated as well

Honestly I would say no to both....There's better deals to be had in Rockaway.

Well you pretty much covered everything that is wrong with the Sand Castle. Only thing you left out is that you're not within walking distance to the train, so if you don't drive, you'll have to take the bus to the train. Wavecrest is only a good deal IMO if you're going for a studio apartment because those are like $700.
