Hello, Moving out of N.Y.C. and want to keep my Unemployment benefits when I head out to California. Saw the link below, any tips, suggestions (or does it spell it all out in link? Do I have to report my move/file a new claim in CA?

Unless laws changed in the last 10 years you can still receive your benefits from another state, just give them the forwarding info as soon as you can.

It takes NY state forever to send checks to the new address so make sure you have money saved up before you make the address change. Also make sure you have someone trustworthy either to forward the checks to you or pick them up at the old address when you're away.
