YES!
I have an excellent investment opportunity that was just waiting for a sharp newcomer like yourself to arrive. Someone bright who knows how to appreciate a good deal when he sees one like yourself! Someone with taste & refinement!
Well, it can be all yours for the low, low price of just $50K (payable in small, unmarked $20's please). Contact for details, but act now ..I can't keep it at this low price forever!
Hello: New York is a great city but expensive, busy, overcrowded. Def save up for rent and transportation, rents are very overpriced, especially Manhattan so look into other boroughs. The subway gets pretty crowded but comes in handy, you dont really need a car which is great. Since there are so many tall buildings sometimes the cell phone reception sucks, Verizon has great service but look into Sprint or Metro PCS if you are looking for something cheap. Hope this helps. Welcome to the Big Apple..
you probably want to look at prepaid services. Straighttalk is as far as I know the cheapest at $45 but they'll cancel your account immediately if you use too much data (from what I heard 2GB+). Just make sure you get the T-Mobile sim card as AT&T is terrible in NYC.
If you are a heavy data user then you can consider Boost Mobile on Sprint network which I believe is the only pre-paid provider that offers truly unlimited data.
There are only two things you need in New York, money and attitude.
Get used to paying lots of money for things that are comparably cheap in the rest of the US. Plan how you want to move around the city...cabs? subway? walking? Keep in mind that a single ride on the MTA is $2.25 I think at the moment, cabs are also expensive...plan to spend over $10 bucks per ride.
Think about where you're going to eat... sure you can eat take out every day, but it's gonna add up to a lot of money at the end of the week. But if money isn't a concern, then no big deal, just bring the attitude!
