Soho is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in town. People who live there don't do shares. Your best bet is subletting a room in Brooklyn or maybe the East Village. What's your budget?

If by BC you mean Boston College, it seems like that school would be big enough to have a housing office, or housing boards, or some way of people who are looking for places to stay to get in touch with each other. I am sure you're not the only BC student in NY for the summer. That should be your first place to look.
After that, check craigslist sublets for affordable Brooklyn areas (I assume you are concerned about budget but maybe not). brooklyn sublets & temporary classifieds - craigslist

she must be rich unless your intern is greatly paid or her parents are willing to dish out 2-3 grand for just the rent that month

I know that NYU has a residence on Broome and Centre. Either way, it's not as though you can't live somewhere else and just take the subway. For all we complain about it here, it does its job remarkably well and you won't feel disconnected at all. Just get an unlimited card and go.

Oh yeah, sublet somewhere in East Village or LES and just commute. Or find something a little nicer in Brooklyn and enjoy both sides of the river, the commute is nothing to get to that area from Brooklyn.

I think you should look for a sugar daddy. There are lots of those who live in Soho. Hedge fund managers, Russian businessmen, etc.
But your competition will be tough, because there are also lots of women looking for sugar daddies like those.

Found an affordable place nanny nanny boo boo
Really many replied with somewhat cynical responses, however we found a place that was very reasonable Thirty days at $60.00 per day- 3 blocks from central park and 1 block to subway. It is working out. I do appreciate your help although the sugar daddy comment was a little rude considering that it is my daughter who we are talking about.
God I love this town!

There are always going to be sarcastic comments, but posting and coming back two weeks later is not very helpful either. The original message lacked information remotely sufficient to answer the question posed.
That said, the $60 per day "three blocks from central park" is deeply suspicious. I urge you to investigate carefully before sending any money, or your daughter, down that path. This sounds to good to be good and too good to be true.
