So, I'll be staying with a friend while looking for places to rent in NYC and am looking for parking recommendations, or resources on-line, where I can scope lots before I arrive.

I'll be staying on 65th between 2nd and 3rd and am looking for places within 2 blocks to park. The building I'm staying in is $45/day so anything less than this (which is expensive to me, but unfortunately standard by this neighborhood's rates) is appreciate.

Also, any parking management systems, like Central, Imperial, etc are welcomed.

I found this site (nyc.bestparking.com) which is really helpful, but was wondering if there were any others.

Thanks!

That area is not really considered midtown, not even midtown east. If you look hard enough and are willing to go a few avenues and blocks you should be able to find street parking. Just watch the signs and be prepared to move it as the sign says.

E65th is the Upper East Side. I would look at a site or app like Best Parking to find good rates in the vicinity. Some you have to have a coupon printed, but call ahead and see if you can get a multi-day discount, with in/out privileges. It may be less expensive if you need to use the vehicle during your stay.

Any possibility of leaving your car at home and coming in via public transportation? Once at 65th and Third you probably won't need a car for anything.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Unfortunately, I'll be having to use my car to travel to and from work, but I did find these great online options (for future reference):

NYC Parking Garages & Street Signs - Daily/Monthly Coupons - Manhattan

Here, you're able to leave an inquiry for others to contact you at and I was able to negotiate $250/2 weeks, which is pretty solid since most places won't do weeklys.
