I've never seen a large-scale version of 'musical chairs' but it sure sounds like a spectacle. Maybe bring your out-of-town guests to watch so they have stories to tell the folks back home. I don't remember ever winning 'musical chairs' as a kid. I think I came in 2nd place one time.

We'll use our iconic green chairs to host as many as 400 people in several rounds of dance and sit. Come to enjoy the music and a summer's eve on the lawn, but you'll want to get your butt in a seat during the competition, as we'll be giving away prizes.
This sounds like something I'd say on the DC forum, but Bryant Park was just so much better when it was infested with drug dealers. I'll take hilarious-because-they're-awkward-transplant events over not even being able to go in the park any day.

I don't like neither, I only like bryant park for fashion events.
The prizes IMO are laughable. However, the most laughable aspect will be the event itself. That's why I suggest you bring out-of-town guests because I doubt they've got stuff like this back home (Or maybe that's where the idea originated; IDK).

Yeah this is dumb. Freeze tag would've been much more awesome.
