Do people from other boroughs look down on you if you live in Manhattan?

whether you live in manhattan or in the boroughs, its a preference in lifestyle
if i make $500k and live in manhattan and you make $100k and live in queens or reversely, if i make $500k and live in queens and you make $100k and live in manhattan, would you look down on me?

this is a silly question and if there are ppl that do, they are silly ppl and their opinion regarding you or anyone else should not matter.

I generally don't think anyone cares whether you live in Manhattan. But personally I am of the same mentality as Bluedog on this. If you must sacrifice 1/2 of your income to share a 1 bedroom apt with a roommate (no livingroom, etc) just to live in Manhattan, or you have bunk beds in a studio apt and still spending 1/2 your income (or more)...umm I do kinda wonder what is going on in your head.

Other than that...no.

Possibly because I'm a native-born Brooklynite, the whole Manhattan aura has never meant anything to me. I don't think that borough is special at all. If someone who lives in Manhattan wants to look down their nose at me because I'm a Brooklynite, they better do it from a distance, because if they get within earshot they'll have to listen to some things they definitely won't appreciate hearing.
