Hi I know trains and subways are faster however I dint care how long it will take. I can't afford the train. Buses are far cheaper for me so can someone plz tell me how I can get from wantagh on long island to manhattan preferably union square but anything wi be fine. I know u will have to transfer I think somewhere in Jamaica but idj what bus to take from there etc so if someone could help that would be great thx
Not possible. There are no buses that will go that route. You would at least have to take the train to jamaica or close to it and take a bus. I believe Wantagh to Freeport (its like 2 bucks) then the N4 bus to Jamaica Center, from there the E to 52nd street, switch to the 6, get off at union square. That's the cheapest I know. Everything else you would take Wantagh to Jamaica station then switch to the E.
It might be possible but by the time you make all those transfers, you will have spent more money than if you just took the LIRR. You can only transfer one time from one bus to another bus. If you have to take a 3rd, you'll end up having to pay. Is this a one-time trip or are you planning to do this everyday? There are several NICE bus lines that go to the subway. NICE is the new Long Island bus company.
you could have flown across the country by that time.
