So I live in the Vladeck Housing Project in Manhattan. My neighbors bathroom continue to leak into my bathroom, damaging the ceiling and creating unsanitary conditions for me. I hate this place so much but I can't get out of my lease. The kids here are rude as hell, there is too much noise and my neighbors are idiots. I can't walk without hearing a second grader say the n word to some random black kid. Anyone who is considering this place, I DON'T recommend it. Save your money for somewhere else.

Back to the leak issue, I've talked to my neighbors several times about it and all they do is continue to give me the retarded story that their kid flood the tub. I'm sure you don't let your kid bath in yellow water with a funny odor to it. All this leaking is cause paint to peel off and mold to form everywhere. I'm leaving for a 3 week vacation in about a week and I have this gut feeling that when I come back home there will be tons of water damage everywhere...

I've tried to file an appeal to get out of my lease just to have it rejected. I've called Customer Contact Center NUMEROUS times. They would come in, fix the leak in a few hours then leave, and all is good for a few weeks. However, again and again the upstairs bathroom will start leaking. I seriously want to flip on my neighbors, but I'm sane enough to not do that. Is there anything I can do? Maintenance has done their part but I can't have them coming back every couple of months to fix a problem my retarded neighbors cause.

This pretty much sums up your issue. don't renew the lease and go to a better housing situation.

Sad isn't it...how people are so disrespectful to property they are lucky enough to live in for a small fee when many people are waiting on long lists to get that same apartment they would be grateful for and take care of it.
