I was looking for sports museums in NYC and found this one.
National Sports Museum
Anybody checked this out? Can't find too much info on the site and the tickets are 30 dollars a person. Right now I doubt I'd check it out for that cost but figured I'd see if anybody has been in there to maybe add info as to why I should go.
Thanks

I never heard of it. I know there was another but that went bankrupt in 2009. I seem to recall their admission prices were similar, which might be why I didn't go even though I'm a big sports guy.

Also someone on their website needs to fix a minor typo. One place has it listed at 26 Broadway and another spot has it listed at 26 E. Broadway. I highly doubt a museum like that would open in the middle of Chinatown.

I went a couple years ago...don't remember that much about it, except its way overpriced for what it is. And I'm a big overall sports fan too.

I just clicked on the link. I think they've fixed it, because now they say they're located at 26 Broadway (which they subtly enhance by mentioning it's proximity to the "Canyon of Heroes.")

That place has closed, Im pretty sure. I passed by it once a few years ago (at 26 Broadway, near the Bull) and it looked like an overpriced tourist trap. More recently I passed by and the sapce was empty and turned into something else. I'm pretty sure its out of business.

Yes it has closed. I work in the area and it lasted maybe a year. I think they spent more time prepping it then it lasted.

If you want an interesting look at sports history in the New York area, this is very fascinating.
