My wife and I will be visiting New York for 4 days in late August, She has found online a lot of different tour companies that offer 72 hour bus tour packages (the buses run all day and you can get on and get off where ever you want) anyone ever done these and have advice on companies to use? Also any other advice for a traveler would be nice too. Thank you.
Finally a question I can answer. LOL! An unlimited ride metro card and the internet is your best bet. I visited all by myself and the MTA trip planner got me everywhere I needed to go...there is a mobile app too if you have one of those phones. You can use the card for both the subway and the bus. Also check out nycgo.com...if this is your first visit, there is a city pass you can buy to visit all the regular tourist spots like the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Bldg...but I'm telling you, you HAVE to go to the Top of the Rock. Just so that you know, I am strictly speaking as a tourist...I just happened to stop by here and saw your post...I'll type more later if you don't get any other help. Enjoy.
