I don't live in an Ashkenazi neighborhood but I love learning Yiddish sayings, it's fun.

and Boro Park. Oye Gavelt I have spent the high hollies in both billyburg and BP and it was a whole different world. but it was a great exp. for me.

Outside of Hasidim, only the very oldest generation of Jews know/speak Yiddish anymore.....
