Will be visiting the city. Milford Hotel reviews are mixed. Has anyone visited this hotel?

the Milford Plaza? I've read things about bedbugs and shoddiness tho i believe they recently renovated it. but when it opened in 1980 it was quite the hotel

Was there in 2002 so a while back.
Safe and clean when I stayed.
Paper thin walls. Cheap bedding/tv and lumpy bed. It was central to the venue and reasonably priced.
Not bad for a night or two.

you should have seen what the surrounding block looked like when the MP was under construction between '78 and '80--total eyesore!!

I stayed there once. I was not happy about it. This of course was in 2007 but a few things I had a problem with:

1, had to wait about 20 minutes for the room to be finished cleaning
2, I took a shower at like 2 am and it was constant VERY hot water and very cold. I understand this might happen at peak hours but it was 2 am.
3, the bathroom door did not shut completely. The part that keeps it shut was broken.
