I've always cheered for the Knicks. But Brooklyn didn't have a team until now. Can I switch?

I mean wouldn't I have strong justification for cheering for them anyway? its not like I all of a sudden decided to become a Heat or Lakers fan, right?

You don't necessarily have to 'switch', but you will have to choose. . . Well not really. Lol you can support both, same city. I know a lot of people who already said that they will. I do get your dilemma being from Brooklyn you feel as if you 'have' to support and everything.

As for me I was never a big basketball guy but now that we do have the Nets (and they are pushing the 'Brooklyn' thing so hard) I will support to the fullest. I already have gear and I'm excited for the first home game against the Knicks! Choose your poison. . . mine is the BKN!

I usually support any team out of NYC, especially if it would bring us 1 more title for the sake of our city. I like sports, aware of the current events, but not a hardcore fan who would become agitated and aggravated. I'm seeing a lot of BKLYN Nets apparel on many people. I own like 2 Knicks caps, 1 Nets. Am I evil ? lol

I guess support the NYC team you feel closer affiliated with in various ways. You like their organization, the way they play, player attitudes, ect..

Stick with the Knicks. I'm a pretty diehard sports fan and would never switch allegiances. If you're able to, then it just means you weren't really a fan in the first place.
