9100 Block 109st Richmond Hills Queens Safe? (New York, York: renting, house, living)

Hey everybody!! I'm looking at renting a room in a house on the 9100 block of Richmond Hills in Queens.

I'll be living with my girlfriend, and we will both be coming at home at various hours. I know that in any part of NY we need to be cautious at night but I just want to make sure this area isn't particularly bad. I'm familiar with the Kew Gardens/Forest Hills areas, but have never gone South of Jamaica Ave.

Any advice is appreciated

You might want to try the New York City forum.

I don't think the Richmond Hill area is too bad. The subway would be less than a 10 minute walk from the house (You could try the Q37 bus, but it's not worth it for a few blocks)
