While you may consider that the case- I think it's much more clear the OP couldn't see any reason for choosing to 'hack living it'- and thus left.

When you weigh the pros and cons- NYC sometimes comes up behind other places for many people.

for me, coming from detroit (even a suburb of detroit) it was a huge upgrade
