I wasn't born here, but I'm staying. I would like to spend a couple years somewhere else to experience more of the world, and in the unlikely event that I get rich, I'll have a summer house upstate, but the city will always be home.
I've lived here for just over a year, and wouldn't mind being here another year. I still have't gotten to do even have of what NYC offers. I haven't been to the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park, etc. I have an internship that I have to make a trip to Lower Manhattan for, so I go there often, and have only been to Midtown Mahattan twice.
So my answer is, I would like to stay here because i have so much to do before I leave, but I really want to get back to Colorado.
No, I don't plan on staying here. I want to move to someplace else.
I'm really over NYC. I only came back to make some money, then leave again. Where to? I have a couple of places in mind, but haven't decided yet.
I prefer less people and a somewhat "simpler" way of life these days.
I could have written this post! The nature of my jobs takes me out of NYC to live in other states. I've done this many times over the past 14 years. Everytime I'd came back to NYC because I got bored with those other places. Earlier this year, I tried to stay away in another state but couldn't land a fulltime job there to save my life so once again I'm back in NYC. I'm older now and want a simpler life so when I get out next time, I'm not moving back.
Seriously though in America, New York will always be my primary residency. I would want my second 'home' to be London. I've said this since I was a little toddler according to my Mom.

Yep, If I feel a nuclear attack is imminent, I will get down to 34th St and stand in the shadow of the Empire State building...or better yet, atop the observation deck.
I plan on staying here. I don't need a second home, but my dream would be to live here but to be able to travel the world, staying several months per year somewhere different - Europe, South America, Asia. That would be the llife.
