That's the point - it's largely psychological. If the only sizes an establishment serves are 12 and 16 ounce sodas, most people will get the 16 ounce and be perfectly happy with it.

However, if they serve 16, 24, and 32 ounces, plenty of people are going to go for the larger sizes just because 16 now seems so small, and the prices difference might be 10 or 20 cents between the sizes. Now they're consuming twice the sugar and calories simply because its sitting there in front of them.

We're not nearly the rational actors that economists wish we were.

think of if, no medicaid, welfare food stamps....maybe we could actually take care of our own people for a change.

and then we can drink soda.

I think the ban is silly, but it's sad to see all of the outrage over this from people who keep silent about other, more important issues.

Th big super Mac is next and then carnegie deli. It is just pathetic to temp people gulp down two pounds of processed beef without any health warnings.

The general public in america is way under educated about food health and safety.

Let's keep the ice track around for a while because I like a treat of it once in a while.

Default Reminds me...

Of the little known Christian bale movie Equilibrium where everyone was numbed emotionally and lived in a dystopian dictatorship. No free choice. Conform or the fires.

Soda? What's next? Tortilla chips? Oreos?
