Try looking up restaurant reviews in a Zagat guide or something at the local book store... Maybe even yelp can help!

What's your spending limit for the two of you for a meal? $30? $100?

Quite pricey, but definitely less expensive than La Bernardine.

Will check it out, thanks.

Some of the people are reputable here. The problem the OP doesn't specify what they consider to be reasonably priced and if they are looking for a restaurant in the Midtown area of Manhattan or some place else.

I assumed that listing in the OP what is too high end as giving you an idea of what is reasonably priced.

"Sammy's fish mart" or something like that, in City Island. Best fish place ever, you can eat yourself into oblivion and then some.

highly recommended

If that's your budget I honestly think you'll be fine and have nothing to worry about. Unless if you are eating at a 5 star restaurant or the Four Seasons, $100 should get you and your date a good meal.

I love El Quijote. Classic, beautiful atmosphere with a rich history. The food is great, also. Most of the dishes fall somewhere between $19-$28.
