I would not take the advice of anyone on here for much of anything, especially food. Have you seen the comments from people on here? Try asking friends, people you trust, or google "best reasonably priced seafood restaurants in NYC". Go with a reputable source, not the cartoon characters on here.
Some of the people are reputable here. The problem the OP doesn't specify what they consider to be reasonably priced and if they are looking for a restaurant in the Midtown area of Manhattan or some place else.
If that's your budget I honestly think you'll be fine and have nothing to worry about. Unless if you are eating at a 5 star restaurant or the Four Seasons, $100 should get you and your date a good meal.
I love El Quijote. Classic, beautiful atmosphere with a rich history. The food is great, also. Most of the dishes fall somewhere between $19-$28.
