Oh yea! Also, way back I believe the early R1 through R? the conductors had to stand between the cars to operate the side doors!! Fred, help me here, how far am I going back on this one?

I remember on Channel 11 WPIX there was a guy named Richard N. Hughes that would give a 30 minute editorial about something and at the end say "What's your opinion? We'd like to know." I remember every year his hair got grayer.

Also on WPIX there was a call in type game where you'd yell PIX PIX PIX into the phone and some paper looking rocket would move around and you could win stuff.

Wonderama. Kids are People Too. The Magic Garden.

The street sweeper truck that would come by and guys with brooms would follow it sweeping up.

My dad was a bus driver and wore that thing that made change.

POP, Pay One Price at Coney Island.

Hide the belt. We used to say "hot beans and butter" when the belt was successfully hidden.

Off the wall. Stoop ball (loved hitting a pointer!) Buck Buck (or Johnny on the Pony depending where you were from. The fat kid was always the pillow). Kick the Can. Melting crayons into a bottle cap (sometimes with a nickel put in there first) for Skully's or Skelly's or Skelzy's depending on what area you grew up in.

Making go-karts when we were lucky enough to find a shopping cart with working wheels in the garbage or when we had collected four of them.

Old ladies that would throw a pan of water out the window at you if you were too noisy.
