Just ran across two museums with film programs that sound interesting:
One is at the Rubin Museum of Art. They already have Friday evening "Caberet Cinema" where you get to bring your little drink in and a movie is introduced, but they apparently are also having some kind of talks, with people like Julianne Moore and Liev Schreiber. Okay, I admit I can't quite figure it out on their website, but you could call: 212-620-5000.
The other is the New-York Historical Society, which is doing a series related to WWII, starting in October with "Mrs. Miniver." Some very interesting speakers.

Both these museums are great to visit in any case. For those of you that have a Bank of America debit or credit card, you get free admission to these 2 museums on the first weekend of every month.

The Rubin Museum has their cabaret cinema, which is free with the price of a $7 drink.
Remember also that if you are a member or a Corporate that MOMA has perhaps the best ongoing film series in the history of film series.
I have been enjoying their films since 1974.
They have films several times a day...check the schedule.
