We're going to be staying at NY Loft hostel near Bogart & Varet and I was going to come here to ask about the area. Looks like I'm orange / yellow, so it doesn't look like anything we can't handle. I'm a fairly large guy and know how to look like more trouble than I'm worth. Thanks for putting this up and getting it stickied!
My question is, how dynamic is this neighborhood? Is it yellow by day / red at night? We'll be doing some late night lounge hopping around the city, so a 4am walk home from the subway station 3 blocks away isn't out of the question. We can take a cab if need be, but we always prefer the subway.
