Hi all Im new to the site. So far so good.

Im a Bronx resident Gunhill to be exact. Im looking for a multi family diamond in the rock. We are not scared to roll up our sleeves and put in sweat equity (my daddy is a contractor by trade and says he "got my back.)" My husband works for FDNY; His dad will be living with us is a retired veteran; And yes we need to utilize their benefits to the max. . And of course, I am addicted to home buying shows on HGTV. And can't wait for our shot of owning our own.

Getting to the point
1 - We are a family of four and between me and my husband we earn a little less than $80k combined. His retired dad is retire receives about $20k annually.

2 - where to live???? I like the Bronx and both work here we are willing to move elsewhere if more cost efficient.

3 - We have little to no down payment, only if absolute mandatory. I plan to use their benefits to our fullest value and of course we are all first time home buyers...

Thanks in advance all...

Assume you mean Pelham Parkway,Pelham Gardens or Pelham Bay.Pelham Manor borders all these neighborhoods but is over the line in Westchester County and is a very pricey area. It's not likely the OP could afford anything in Pelham Manor with the kinds of incomes described.

No down payment, 80K income= probably no multi-family investment property.
