Sobroguy, when you address your issues in regards to being an unabashed straw man I'll respond to your posts again. It's just too frustrating trying to converse with you, sorry. This isn't about disagreement; it's how you attempt to frame the debate and redefine it to extremes constantly.

So when you tell me that there is trash strewn on one's front sidewalk, you feel that it is ok for navy seals to break through their windows and repeatedly rape their bed-ridden grandmother? Because that is how you're coming off, sir...
I was going to type out a whole apple-oranges example to simplify and explain my complaint, but I honestly think he knows what he's doing and just doesn't care.
I educate people on the reality of their simple minded beliefs. Lots of things sounds great to shout..but when you implement them they don't quite work. That's not straw man, that's critical thinking, experience, and wisdom.
I know what it is....the idea that you think I don't know is kinda bizarre. Critical thinking means not only understanding concepts, but understanding what the implementation of similar concepts have concluded. That is not straw man...it is simply intelligence and leveraging history to better understand an existing concept or policy.
I try to educate, but most people don't want the red pill. Ahh well.
Everything you just said above is true, no complaints here. But reality is that's not how you debate. When I talk about CCRB and make a statement, then you quote one of my points and frame it under a completely different argument, you're not using critical thinking; you're using a straw man.
This is another example of how the NYPD is out of control: Operation Create and Capture (which of course they say does not exist). And this is all a directive from the top...Ray Kelly has got to go.
But seriously NYPD's strict and sometimes lacking privacy laws help undermine crimes, why else is NYC a safe city where I've seen 8 year olds walking in the street all by themselves. This wouldn't happen in Newark.
