I'm not moving or live in Country Club (in the Bronx) but I have a friend from the Pelham bay area who is moving from an apt to a house in country club. The area is supposed to be nice but i've heard from people that live there and others that the area is quickly moving downhill. Is this claim true?
I don't know if it is moving quickly downhill... my brother-in-law lives in the "Radio" section and I visited in April. It is one of those areas where people are squeezing every inch of house onto these small lots and it is becoming unattractive.... at least to me.
I can see the schools being an issue and there doesn't seem to be alot to do for the kids to keep them out of trouble.
i kno wat u mean by the houses. my grandmothers house on hone ave was next to this lot that was originally thought to be too small to build on. now they just put in a 3 family house with 3 garages...go figure
Country Club is a relaly nice neighborhood. I don't know what you guys are talking about. Its always been one of the nices neighborhoods in the Bronx. Its very suburban though, not much in the way of stuff to do.
Country Club was actually the neighborhood used in that Spike Lee movie, The Summer of Sam. Personally I thought the movie was a little bit over the top with the sex & violence, but hey thats just me.
