People refusing to evacuate are selfish fools...

The FDR and The Rockaways are underwater....great jobs geniuses. Get out now, so that people don't have to risk their lives to save you later...

I was up having a smoke on my roof in the Village and noticed that a lot of my neighbors have not secured furniture, grills, small potted plants, etc. Very dangerous if the gusts get up to 80 mph.

Ugh. Be safe.

I swear, sometimes this city is its own worst enemy.

There is a lot of water surging in the Battery Park area which will make it problematic to get subway back up and running in that area after storm passes.

More places are open than I expected. My local bodega and Duane Reade in Union Square are both open. And 177 places are still delivering to my neighborhood via Seamless Web!

I'm sure it varies from neighborhood to neighborhood.

La Guardia airport has flooded tarmac and runways. Needless to say that there are no flights scheduled there today or tomorrow.

Hopefully they were able to get as many planes out of there as possible.
I'd have to think JFK isn't far behind either.

We're in the white zone on the flood map but we're a stone's throw away from zone A.... does a little distance really make so much difference? Good luck to everyone especially the zone A-ers.

Thanks.... you're right, lots of stuff is open. Went to the local pub to get some coffee and to-go brunch and that place was PACKED!
