I think you are probably right. Unfortunately that would be the worst case scenario for me and alot of other older guys waiting. Having to take another test and again have to wait 4 or 5 years will probably be too late for me as i would be in my late forties. Not that I couldn't handle the job but to having to start all over again salary wise and my age would be up there upon retirement

As far as the test...its not actually finished being made yet so i'm not sure how they even posted it so early anyway. Once it's finished, it still needs to be reviewed etc

I just spoke to a foreman. He said there's a possibility of a class april or may.

Those factors dont matter... sandy snow overtime..... That just makes them stay for next year maybe they can make more... When guys are rdy to go they go... most dont have there finances in order... If everyone left in my garage that was eligible to retire by 2014 i would #15 in my garage (over 30plus guys)... I have a few guys retiring but 1 guy has 30yrs and the other 29yrs... If that tells u anything.

Thanks for the info I was just being hopeful, I have a buddy that said there are 4 retiring in his garage. The waiting game continues
