Who makes a mean oxtail in Queens? Preferably near Flushing. It can be any style of oxtail.

I do but not recently. They used to be among the cheapest of meats...no more.

(I make it half oxtail, half tripe. LOTS of work.)

Brazen...try some little Hispanic eatery.

I have been to a few of them, they dont seem to have it ever. I have even been to places in Washington Heights, and they dont have it either. Oxtail is in chinese cuisine, and I cant find them in flushing anywhere either. What is going on here?

There are some carribean, jamaican, haitian eateries that have oxtail, but I am hardly in those neighborhoods. Plus I like the hispanic style of oxtail a bit better.

Had some in this Jamaican place in Flatbush years back. Good stuff, but it wasn't enough to fill me up...

If you want anything thats good southern or west indian in queens, you have to go south of jamaica avenue, because uh... black and west indian people live there..

RCL enterprises is the best, and they are well known. Right off the Van Wyck Expressway at Rockaway Blvd. About a 10 minute drive from Flushing. The portions are insane, you can feed a small army. There is always a line, no matter what time of day, so prepare for that. It's worth it.

If you arent willing to go that far, you can try the golden krust carribean grill, which is like a jamaican version of mc donalds... on parsons and 91st. They are independently owned and operated, so depending on the location & cook the food could be really authentic or really crappy.

I like the sauces but dealing with the little bones and little meat makes it something i dont want to deal with. Kind of like eating a whole lobster .its to much work.

Ahh man, the good old days when my mother used to make me oxtail soup
Hey OP, I've only had one "style" of oxtail, and I should be able to find a restaurant (probably Korean) in Flushing/Bayside. I'll edit this post once I find out, if you want
